We thank the City of Little Rock and Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. for supporting this work. The City funds our garden, summer intern, and AmeriCorps members. In addition, all of this work falls under our Community Schools initiative. We appreciate Mayor Scott supporting public schools.

Some of our K-2 had a special guest during garden class. They met David Hall from K. Hall & Sons. He talked about farming and provided watermelon. The kids gave it 5 stars.
Check out K. Hall at 1900 Wright Ave. Their store is an Arkansas legend. They own 220 acres. Watermelon is one of their top producing crops.

Good Afternoon Families,
Our power has been restored quicker than expected. All normal schedules will continue for our students. We will see you at dismissal.
Thank you,
Ms. Khoury, Principal

Good Afternoon Chicot Families,
We are currently experiencing a power outage. Entergy estimates a restoration time of 2:30 pm. We are able to serve all students lunch and will continue with the school day. We will keep you posted regarding the status of our afterschool programs.
Thank you!
Ms. Khoury, Principal

We need some parents to help us finish a few projects in the old garden. We need folks with a weed eater and large pruners. Email or call Nicole to volunteer.

Reminder! UAMS Head Start/Early Head Start will be available to share information on their programs. Spanish-speaking staff will be present. These programs are FREE! See you tomorrow at 7:30AM!

We apply the 7 habits daily, because Change starts with us!

Our student leaders know how to create great start to the school day! They have been at work consistently for the last few weeks since selecting their school-wide leadership role. Love their positivity! This is Leader in Me in action!

Staff from UAMS will be at Chicot next Wednesday. They will have information about FREE programs for pregnant and new moms. Services include home visits, education, referrals, access to baby supplies, and more.
