Our students are the future… and they’re watching us. 💡Chicot Elementary & Early Childhood Center will be hosting Career Day on Friday, May 1st, and we are looking for community members who are willing to show up, share their story, and inspire the next generation. This is more than just talking about a job. It’s about helping our students see what’s possible and reminding them that they can be anything they set their minds to.
We are looking for individuals who are interested in:
• Speaking to 4th and 5th grade classrooms
• Showcasing career vehicles for our K–3 students

From prep to planting. 🌱💙 Shoutout to American Composting in North Little Rock for the bulk compost donation and to our parent volunteers who showed up and got our garden beds ready for our students. We’re excited to see this space come to life after Spring Break!

300+ boxes of cereal. 🥣💙 A huge thank you to Random Acts of Kindness and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department for this generous donation to our families. This will go a long way for our students!

Our Student Lighthouse Team in action. 💙 Students collected, packed, and delivered over 50 comfort kits to Arkansas Children’s Hospital and learned how these items will be used to support children during their stay. They had the opportunity to learn from child life specialists, patient activity specialists, hospital school teachers, artists-in-residence, and a music therapist, along with experiencing pet therapy (yes, a dog named Snickers 🐶). So proud of our students for showing empathy, leadership, and service in such a meaningful way. 🐆

Behind every box is a community that cares. 💙 This week, thanks to the generosity of Church at Rock Creek, Malin Opitz Memorial Fund, Random Acts of Kindness LR, and Hiland Dairy, we were able to provide over 70 food boxes and dairy bags to help support our families during Spring Break. 📦 We are so grateful for partners who continue to show up for our students and families. Your kindness truly makes a difference!
