Our Career Day was Amazing! Our scholars had an up close look at different career paths to connect their learning to the real world. Our K- 3rd grade scholars visited vehicles to learn about the presenters different careers. Community members and leaders went into our 4th and 5th grade classrooms to share insights about their career and details about necessary education and training for career success. Meanwhile, scholars got the opportunity to listen to presenters, ask questions, and consider what careers pique their interest. Hosting Career Day each year nurtures early career exploration, which helps our scholars begin to imagine their future and understand the steps they can take as they progress through school to get there. It’s a powerful way to show our scholars that their education has real-world relevance and that their dreams are within reach. Thank you Ms. Hawkins for another amazing Career Day!!!

We would like to congratulate Katherine Castillo, a 5th grade Chicot Cheetah, on her outstanding achievement at the Little Rock School District’s Artistry in the Rock showcase! Katherine earned 2nd place, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects her creativity, dedication, and artistic talent. Congratulations, Katherine — Chicot is so proud of you!

Tomorrow is Career Dress-Up Day! 🐆
Parents, it’s never too early to show our scholars the possibilities and help them start seeing themselves in their future careers. Tomorrow, students will be learning about real careers and meeting people who do them every day, so let them have fun and come dressed as who they aspire to be when they grow up! ✨
Teacher, doctor, athlete, chef… whatever inspires them, we want to see it all! 👀

As we get ready for Leadership Day, our scholars have been creating their own invitations for their families to attend. They’ve been putting time and care into making these just for YOU. Be sure to check your scholar’s backpack so you don’t miss it—some will be coming home today, and the rest early next week ⚾️ We can’t wait for you to see your invitation, and we hope you’ll join us on this special day!

Our kindergarteners are already doing real research!🐆💙They explored animals from around the world, learned new facts, and showed what they know through their writing and drawings. From Australia to Antarctica, our students are thinking, creating, and growing every day. We love seeing their confidence shine ✨

Create a cheetah using recyclable materials from home and turn it in to Ms. Carr in Room 116 by April 22. We cannot wait to see all the creativity our Chicot Cheetahs bring! This is what community looks like!! 💙 One of our amazing parents stepped in and completely transformed our storage containers, and the difference speaks for itself. From prep, to priming, to painting, this was done with care, pride, and real craftsmanship for his daughter’s school. Mr. Canseco, owner of Canseco Painting, has supported us with painting projects before, but this project took it to another level. His work has helped make our campus more student-centered and visually welcoming for every student who walks through our doors! We are so grateful to have families like this pouring into our school! 🏫
