Awesome Library Surpise Update! Thanks to the City of Little Rock, the Little Rock School District and all of our partners for Reading in the Rock. Because of this synergy, every single Chicot student, PreK through 5th grade, will get to come and choose 5 FREE brand-new books to keep for their home libraries! We started today with PreK and kindergarten. By Wednesday afternoon, every student will have received their books! Keep your eyes out for all your students' books. Let's create a school full of kids who love to read and read to learn!

The second session of our English classes will take place on Wednesday, December 17. Families are invited to join us to practice everyday conversation and learn useful phrases for daily life. For questions or additional information, please call (501) 447-7025.

Dear Parents,
We are noticing an increase in students being sent to school after receiving medication at home. If a child requires medication for an illness, they should remain at home to rest and recover.
We are currently seeing higher numbers of flu cases in our community, and we appreciate your help in keeping all students and staff healthy—especially as we approach the holidays.

Stock the Rock the Wright Way!! Shout-out to our Chicot community for coming together to donate food and showing Habit 6: Synergize at its best. Our fourth
grade scholars also stepped up with Habit 1: Be Proactive and stocked the pantry like champs. We're proud of our cheetahs! 🐆💙

Chicot Cheetahs, it’s time to get festive!!! Spirit Week 2025 is officially set for December 15–19 as we kick off Winter Break. Check out the flyer and start planning those outfits. Can’t wait to see our students show up with so much holiday cheer.

We’re excited to kick off our first English class at Chicot Elementary. Session One will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Chicot cafeteria. Families will get the chance to practice everyday conversation, build helpful vocabulary, and learn phrases they can use at work, school, and in daily life. Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to see you there.

🐝 Chicot P-R-O-U-D! 🐝 Our Annual Chicot Spelling Bee showcased our Classroom Spelling Bee Representatives for 3rd-5th grade. Through several rounds scholars competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for school-wide recognition! Congratulations to all of our Spelling Bee Classroom Winners and our Overall Spelling Bee Winners: 1st Place-Raymond Shaw 2nd Place-Preston Alexander 3rd Place-Daniel Garrido

Winter Wonderland is almost here! Make plans to attend Tuesday, December 9th, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Our 2nd grade choir and 4th & 5th grade Chicot Stars Choir will perform. We will also have math and literacy games/resources for families, grab and go dinner, and our Scholastic Book Fair! For a special treat, enjoy a Magic Show with Tommy Terrific and receive a free book for every child! It will be a fun-filled night and we want to see you!

Due to the national penny shortage, we will not be able to give exact change for book fair puchases. All total prices will be rounded to the nearest nickel. I am sorry about any inconvenience this may cause.
