
Chicot and @LittleRockZoo kicked off our Mascot Education Program. Since becoming the cheetahs, we've been working to learn more about our mascot. This week we learned the habitat of cheetahs and their features. We even viewed a video from cheetahs Maggie, Padfoot, and Prong!

Don't forget! Tomorrow AR Hunger Relief Alliance staff will be available to help with SNAP. They will have paper and online applications, food pantry information, and program eligibility information. Spanish-speaking staff will be present. This is an opportunity to get help and ask questions.

Yesterday, Mr. Chandler's fifth-grade class got to try Rainbow Smoothies during garden class. Each table added ingredients to the blender. Overall, they said it was good.
Kim from Bell Urban Farm talked about urban agriculture, and they got touch vegetables from her farm.






Red Ribbon Week is next week!! It's a time to promote healthy life choices. Classes will receive prizes for their participation on designed days.

Meet one of our newest "Goal Getters!" This scholar worked hard to achieve her goal of reading to the principal. She came with goal sheet, book in hand, and read exceptionally! What's next? She wants to read to an ENTIRE pre-k class. Way to go Leslye! Readers are Leaders!
