🌎🔬 5th Grade Science Spotlight! Our young scientists put their critical thinking skills to the test today — using the process of elimination to decide the best location to build an imaginary town! 🏘️💧 Students analyzed the land, plants, rocks, and soil to determine which areas had access to aquifers for wells and the best conditions for their communities to thrive. 🪨🌿 It’s amazing to see science, geography, and problem-solving come together in action! 💡✨

🏀 Eagle Pride is soaring! 🏀 Congratulations to both our 4th/5th grade and 6th grade basketball teams on winning their opening games of the season! 🎉 Make plans to come out and cheer on our middle school teams as they take on Pulaski Heights at home this Monday night starting at 5:30! Let’s pack the gym and show our Eagle spirit! 💚🦅💛

We’re collecting food to fill our pantry and create meal kits for families in need, and every grade has a special item to bring!

📅 Important Dates:
Friday, November 14 – Bring a food item & wear non-uniform clothes
Tuesday, November 18 – Bring a food item & wear non-uniform clothes



💡 Grade-Level Donations:

Kindergarten: Canned Fruit (peaches, pineapple, applesauce cups)
1st Grade: Canned Vegetables (green beans, corn, carrots)
2nd Grade: Canned Soup / Stew (chicken noodle, chili, beef stew)
3rd Grade: Pasta & Sauce (spaghetti, macaroni, pasta sauce)
4th Grade: Canned Protein (tuna, chicken, beans, peanut butter)
5th Grade: Breakfast Items (cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, granola bars)
Middle School: Snack Foods (crackers, trail mix, fruit snacks, pudding cups)

📚 Attention Parents:
All Central Arkansas Library System locations will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.

Please note that no meals will be served, and bathrooms, water, and shelter will not be available while the library is closed. Children left on campus during this time would be unsupervised and without access to staff or safety officers, which raises safety concerns.

We ask that you please make arrangements for your child’s care that day. Thank you for helping us keep all of our students safe! ❤️

LR Southwest High School is hosting their 5th Annual Trunk or Treat tonight.🍬 Bring the family for a fun evening filled with treats, costumes, and community spirit. Check out the attached flyer for all the details — it’s going to be a spooktacular time!

🌋✨ Lava Lamp Learning in Action! ✨🌋 Our kindergarteners and 7th graders teamed up today for a super fun science exploration — creating their very own lava lamps! 🧪💡 Students discovered how density and chemical reactions work as oil and water separated, and bubbles formed when effervescent tablets released gas. It was the perfect mix of science, creativity, and teamwork! 💚

🎉 Red Ribbon Week Throwback! 🎉 Yesterday was Dress as Your Favorite Decade Day and our students showed up with such fun, creativity, and style! From groovy 70s looks to 90s vibes, it was a blast seeing everyone’s school spirit shine. 💚✨ Here are some highlights from the day!

🎉 Reminder Eagles! Tomorrow is a Casual for a Cause day! For just $1, students can dress out for the day. 👕 Please remember — no costumes during the school day, but students will be allowed to change into their costumes before the Costume Run. 🏃‍♂️🎭 Let’s show our school spirit while supporting a great cause! 💚💛

💗 Red Ribbon Week continued today with our Pink Out Day, and our students showed up in full support! From shirts to accessories, they represented proudly to raise awareness and stand together against drugs. 💪🎀
