Tomorrow, Dec. 4th, is International Cheetah Day. In partnership with the Little Rock Zoo, some of our Chicot Leaders will visit the zoo and lead education efforts regarding cheetahs. In addition, we are collecting change this entire week to support cheetah conservation efforts. And of course, EVERYONE is encouraged to wear cheetah print or cheetah spirit wear tomorrow. What an awesome way to start the week by celebrating our scholars who are demonstrating the 7 habits!
On Thursday, 40 juniors and seniors from LittleRock Christian Academy demonstrated "Think Win-Win" by volunteering at Chicot . They contributed their time and energy to multiple activities, including working in the garden, packing Thanksgiving baskets, assembling PBIS incentive bags, judging the Drug-Free School coloring contest, and playing outside with kindergarten and first-grade students. Their efforts created meaningful benefits for both our students and the volunteers themselves.
Chicot showed up and showed out! Families and staff filled the stands to support our cheer and basketball teams. Our cheerleaders brought the energy and the basketball team delivered a win! What a coming together on a Saturday morning to support our scholar athletes! Go Cheetahs! 🐆

As a reminder, our Chicot Food Pantry distribution is today, Saturday, Nov. 16th, from 9 am to 11 am! The distribution will take place in the car loop in front of the elementary entrance. Don't miss out!
What a success! A total of 85 food boxes and 40 turkeys were distributed to families this morning! Our Teach Students to Lead Action Team synergized with our Community School efforts! For the last two weeks, Chicot scholars collected food items by grade, LRCA student volunteers assisted with packing boxes, donors provided turkeys, and our staff members volunteered their time on a Saturday to distribute. This is leadership at work and the power of collaboration! Way to go! Thank you Temple of Restoration Church of God in Christ, Little Rock Christian Academy, and Mercy Church!
