Stakeholders, Our School Resource Officer (Ticey) received a call from LRPD regarding a potential incident at a nearby business. According to the report, an individual entered the business and referenced his possession of a weapon. The employees never saw the weapon and the individual left the premises immediately. The LRPD responded with neighborhood patrols, LRSD Security dispatched addtional officers, and out of an abundance of caution, we elected to restrict students' outside access. Subsequently, we received additional notice that LRPD patrols did not find the individual in the proximity of the campus, and the potential threat to the school was low. Please know that we will continue to consider all instances of potential security risks seriously. The safety of students, staff, and visitors on this campus is our greatest priority. Likewise, we will promptly provide you with accurate information when these instances occur. Thank You & Thanks for Your Support of PHMS. Darryl James Powell
