🦅🎣 A big thank you to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for visiting FHSA and delivering an incredible professional development session! Our staff had the opportunity to learn about exciting new programming and grant opportunities available to schools — and we’re thrilled to be submitting a grant for their upcoming school-based program!

One of the highlights? A live birds of prey presentation featuring a red-tailed hawk and owl, along with an amazing collection of stuffed animals and birds. 🦉🦅

To top it all off, they treated our staff to a delicious barbecue lunch — and we couldn’t be more grateful for their generosity and partnership. 💚

Attention 4th and 5th grade parents! There will be a volleyball interest meeting on August 7 at 7 pm, after Open House. The meeting will be in the gym. Boys and girls are able to participate. We’re so excited to finally get our yearbooks into your hands—it’s time to relive all the memories, smiles, and special moments from this school year!

Yearbooks will be available for pickup on the following dates:
Tuesday, July 29 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday, August 5 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

📦 Non-returning families who are unable to pick up during these times will have their yearbooks mailed.

Sealed for Success: LRSD's New Electronic Device Policy sealed Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, a new Arkansas law—The "Bell to Bell, No Cell Act"—is going into effect. This bill requires schools to strictly limit student use of personal electronic devices during the school day. This applies to cell phones, tablets, personal laptops, smart watches, Bluetooth earbuds, and other personal electronic devices. This new policy is designed to minimize distractions and foster a better learning environment for students by limiting cell phone use during the school day.
