Supt. Dr. Jermall Wright poses with two LRSD students while filming a podcast

The Little Rock School District is proud to announce the launch of its official podcast, Wright On Education, hosted by Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright. This new monthly series is designed to bring students, families, staff, and community members into the heart of education in Little Rock—highlighting the people, policies, and progress shaping LRSD. Each episode will feature timely topics, student and staff voices, and transparent conversations about the District’s goals, challenges, and successes.

The premiere episode, now available on LRSD’s website and YouTube Channel, as well as other streaming platforms, focuses on the implementation of Arkansas’s Bell-to-Bell No Cell Phone Act, which goes into effect in LRSD middle and high schools on the first day of school - August 11. Dr. Wright is joined by two LRSD students to discuss the rollout of Yondr Pouches—secure phone holders that will help eliminate classroom distractions and promote greater focus throughout the school day. LRSD’s introduction of the Yondr Pouches includes a campaign called, Sealed for Success.

“With Wright On Education, we want to open the door wider between the District and our community,” said Dr. Wright. “This podcast is about being real, being informative, and centering student voice. Whether we’re discussing policy, celebrating success, or tackling tough issues, we’re doing it with transparency and a shared commitment to making LRSD the best it can be.”

Students, staff, and community members will have the opportunity to pose questions to Dr. Wright, which will be answered during the podcast or via his webpage. Questions and comments may be submitted via WrightOn@lrsd.org.
