Open Enrollment in the Little Rock School District 2018-19 school year takes place December 4 - 15, 2017 for all LRSD students, including pre-K. Take advantage of unique and innovative educational opportunities by enrolling in one of LRSD’s schools. You can enroll your child in pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, and sign up for a magnet/specialty school during this period.
If you have a returning K-12 student and you are not applying for a specialty/magnet school, you do not have to do anything, your student will automatically roll up to his/her attendance zone school. P-4 students will also automatically roll up to kindergarten at their attendance zone. However, parents of students who are new to the district or wish to apply for a specialty/magnet school, will need to register at the Student Registration Office, 501 Sherman St., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Forest Heights STEM applications and magnet/specialty school applications will also be accepted at this time. This year, all magnet/specialty school applications will be logged in at the Student Registration Office.
Parents of pre-K students should register at the Early Childhood Center at Geyer Springs, 5240 Mabelvale Pike, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
If you have changed your address, this is also a good time to make sure that information is updated with Student Registration. To avoid potential lines, you may make those changes this week, before Open Enrollment starts. This will assist in planning for the 2018-19 school year, including transportation.
